Dr. Biplab Maji Wins 2021 Young Investigator Award - We are pleased to announce that Dr. Biplab Maji from the Department of Chemical Sciences has been awarded the '2021 Young Investigator Award' sponsored by the journal Molecules. Dr. Maji was nominated by esteemed professors from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Chubu University. He has made significant contributions to the field of sustainable chemical synthesis and has been recognized for his innovative research in manganese catalyzed hydrogen transfer reactions. As part of the award, he will receive an honorarium of 2000 CHF, the opportunity to publish a paper free of charge in Molecules, and an engraved plaque. Proposal Acceptance of Prof. Alakesh Bisai - Hearty Congratulations to Prof. Alakesh Bisai from the Department of Chemical Sciences for the acceptance of his proposal under the 'STARS' program. His project focuses on 'Accessing Antiviral Indolosesquiterpene Alkaloids of Marine Sources', which aligns with the STARS initiative aimed at promoting translational and socially relevant research in the field of sciences.

Dr. Kripabandhu Ghosh Selected as Special Issue Guest Editor - Dr. Kripabandhu Ghosh has been selected as a Special Issue Guest Editor for the prestigious journal 'Artificial Intelligence and Law'. This special issue focuses on the applications and evaluation of Large Language Models in the legal domain, addressing both their impact and the ethical issues involved. The issue has received over 50 submissions, and the review process is currently underway, with expected reviews to be sent out in the coming weeks.
